Officer Down, Officer down, a short film that throws you straight into the action the viewer knows exactly the situation from the opening shot and builds up the tension as the officer is shot, bleeding out and a sniper has him in their sights. What makes this short film special is that the set up is simple and yet its gripping from start to end. This is down to a great performance from Jason Adam as Officer Mercer who holds the audience and the tension with his portrayal of a cop hanging on by a thread.
What’s remarkable is that this short by Award winning Director Ranjeet S Marwa was shot in just 90 minutes and edited in four hours on an iphone 16 pro max with just two actors Jason Adam as Officer Mercer and Aaron Liburd as Masked Sniper with the voice of Sergeant Wilkes which is Carl Wharton and in one location in Birmingham.
