Fighting Spirit Film Festival (FSFF) is a celebration of martial arts and action movies. It's a platform for aspiring and inspiring filmmakers, martial arts practitioners, choreographers and artists. Martial arts is the common theme of all the films - diverse in narrative, style and format, the short films come from around the world.

A CONVERSATION WITH RUPTURE CAST AND CREW (15)

A Q&A with Birmingham filmmaker Ranjeet S Marwa who will be talking about his new film Rupture along with stars Mark Strange, Nick Khan, and James Bryhan.

This talk will be hosted by Phil Gillon of Eastern Film Fans.

Before reflecting back to the winning shorts from FSFF 2021, there will be another martial arts demo team to warm the crowd up.

For the first screening of the evening - KungFu Stuntmen (2021) – Director, Wei Junzi.

This definitive documentary chronicles the Hong Kong action industry, with first-hand accounts from the people who made it great. Featuring icons Sammo Hung, Yuen Woo Ping, Donnie Yen, Tsui Hark and veteran stunt performers Yuen Wah, Mars, Yuen Qiu, Chin Kar Lok and many more. FSFF proud to present the documentary in its only UK screening in association with the Hong Kong Stuntmen Association.

The festival evening will end with a special screening of Drunken Master II (1994)

Director, Jackie Chan. Showing in Cantonese, in its original Hong Kong theatrical cut, this is the smash hit sequel to the film that made Jackie an international star. The 1994 Chinese New Year blockbuster sees Jackie return to his Kung Fu roots – featuring genre icon Lau Kar Leung, Cantopop queen Anita Mui and legendary superkicker Ken Lo.
