Now, over 40 years later the clan is back and still looking for BJ Vega but finding out that he has passed but has a son named Steven Vega they do whatever it takes to find anyone connected to him and get him into a hunt.

This film was created to pay homage to the action and horror films of the 1980s and ’90s giving respect to film such as avenging Force, The Golden child, ravenous, and surviving the game. The influence is there to see, but more than that the film benefits from the gritty and guerilla style filmmaking which adds more realism to the film. The other call out is the colour pallette that is used, Franklin going for a rusty almost black and white with a brown tint that really does make this film stand out and adds to that 80’s vibe which further adds depth to the feature.

So look here it is keeping it real, its an indie feature from A Newark Studios production both written by and directed by Franklin Correa that was produced by Robert Parham. What you see is what you get, an independent film that is utilising whatever budget it has by making the most of cast and locations and this one is a triumph for stepping out of the usual cops and robbers, Franklin Correa brings us a slice of martial arts action horror, now that is something I can get on board with, plus its got an ending to die for.
