Three-time Mr. Universe Alexander Nevsky joins action stars Don “The Dragon” Wilson (Batman Forever), Cynthia Rothrock (Lady Dragon), Matthias Hues (Dark Angel) and Tatiana Neva (Executor) in a thrilling Western adventure from director Joe Cornet (A Prayer For The Damned).

1874, East Texas. Mysterious gunslinger Ivan Turchin (Alexander Nevsky) and small town sheriff Vernon Kelly (Joe Cornet) pursue the Posse, a group of sadistic human traffickers who have kidnapped five women. Along with an Indian scout (Don “The Dragon” Wilson), they race against time to find and free the women before the traffickers sell them to sex-slave buyers at the Mexican border.

Alexander Nevsky brings us the second installment and continues the adventures of Ivan Turchaninov with a film that get straight into the action which is what any western fan wants.  The opening has the lady dragon herself Cynthia Rothrock getting a nice cameo of sorts and yes she gets to light up the screen with her Martial Arts and trademark kick.

We also get some on-screen time for another two legends Don ‘The Dragon’ Wilson as Angel the indian scout and even Matthias Hues gets to come back as the villain from the first film Crawley.

This film though is Alexander Nevsky and Joe Cornet’s feature with a focus on the action but some nice sweeping shots depicting the wild and open spaces of the west and enough flash backs to the first film to gives viewers an understanding of what was happening before (if you not seen the first installment check out the link here to our review )

The film never over stays its welcome and there’s plenty of shoot outs and action to keep the pacing just right and again If you love westerns then you’ll enjoy this entry, with a promise in the end credits that Alexander will be back as Ivan in Last Heroes of Rio Bravo, we can’t wait, also stay tuned to the end to find out about the real life Ivan Turchaninov.
