Luke Wilson (3:10 to Yuma) and Dolph Lundgren (The Expendables) star in this pulse-pounding, action-packed thriller. When a team of ruthless mercenaries violently seize control of a remote resort hotel, former Special Ops soldiers attending their best friend's wedding must rely only on their wits and training to combat the terrorists and save the hostages held for ransom.

Shane Dax Taylor directs a straight up die hard wannabe but that ain't no bad thing as it confines the action to one setting so keeps the film flowing from one action piece to the next as Cal (Luke Wilson) , Anders (Dolph Lundgren) and Bradley Brendan Fehr) kick ass as they attempt to stay one step ahead of the kidnappers and keep Brooke (Nicky Whelan) and Hailey (Scout Taylor-Compton) out of harms way.

Question is how much Dolph do we get? Answer Some, its not bad, a beaten down character with a drinking habit that can shoot some bad guys but has less hand to hand that we would really like and or expect, but he still gets a good run out. Problem is action bar is now raised so high these days that this falls short and doesn't quite get it right with those one and one action scenes you want to see. Still from a shoot em up experience its still solid and the pacing works well over the course of the film and who doesn't want to see any film that has its roots in a die hard vibe.

Ultimately The Best Man is a no brainer, sit back and watch but don't think too much about it and you'll enjoy the film just fine, those looking for more thrilling escapades from Dolph and or cast need not apply.

THE BEST MAN will be available in Theaters, On Digital and On Demand on April 21, 2023.
