Junior psychiatrist Dr. Man (Chin-Him Lau) experiments with unorthodox methods to treat his new patient, a taxi driver named Choi (Nick Cheung) who suffers from violent visions. As the treatment progresses and Choi unlocks memories of his shameful past that drove him to madness, Dr. Man begins to suffer nightmares that surface his own dark secrets. Can his methods cure Choi of his nightmares, or will they condemn them both to even greater madness?

Written and directed by Nick Cheung this psychological horror is a slow burner but is well worth your time as Nick Cheung’s character Choi battles with his demons and so happens the psychiatrist treating him is also not as stable as he looks which makes for an interesting journey.  The beauty here is really the visuals that really are unique and bring a sense of impending doom.

A blink and you’ll miss is cameo from Andy Lau and some nice supporting characters but the stand out performance is Nick who gets to deliver one of those emotional intriguing performances as his character dances with his demons, and as I say the way it’s shot it adds to the tone and feel of the film, dragging you into a nightmare so much so you feel you are living his nightmare through his eyes, its clever and engaging filmmaking that makes this a must watch.
