- Chinese Visual Festival (CVF) returns to cinemas for its landmark tenth edition in July
- The only film festival in the UK dedicated to the cinema of the Chinese language speaking world
- As part of Focus Hong Kong, the festival opens with the UK Premiere of Drifting, the new film from acclaimed director Jun Li, and closes with the UK Premiere of the thriller Shadows, hailed as one of the best Hong Kong films of the last year
- The festival sees the return of CVF’s popular Vision Taiwan programme, featuring special screenings of the queer Shakespeare reworking As We Like It and the high-energy political horror satire Get the Hell Out
- A screening of Jia Zhangke’s documentary Swimming Out Till the Sea Turns Blue, a tribute to contemporary Chinese literature
- 8 films screened including UK Premieres from around the Chinese language speaking world covering documentary, independent fiction, LGBTQ cinema and more
