In a Special New Year edition I'd like to focus on up and coming movies for 2012.

Chinese Zodiac: Jackie Chan is back in probably his most anticipated movie in many a year.  The film revolves around Asian Hawk in his final mission, in which he must collect the 12 statue heads of the Chinese Zodiac to save the world. JC is on as Star, Director, Producer basically it’s a JC film, due December 12th "2012.

Special Identity: Donnie Yen will duke it out with none other than Vincent Zhao in this modern day actioner with Donnie on as producer and action director.  Excited well SPL or Flashpoint anyone, if it's half as good as these two classics then were in for a treat.

The Iceman Cometh 3D: Donnie Yen will star in the remake of one of my fav films that has Yuen Biao and Yuen Wah  as two rival Dynasty warriors frozen in ice and wake up in the present day.

The Monkey King 3D: Donnie Yen plays the Monkey King  also on board Chow Yun Fat in this 3D spectacular that was finished last year but took a year to finish the special effects for the film.

The Guillotines: Andrew Lau Directs with Peter Chan Producing A team of killers are used by the Emperor to execute all who opposes him, but then the team become expendable when a new Emperor takes over and adopts the western ways using Guns instead of swords.   This is one to watch out for as it has classic written all over it.

Cyborg: Rise of the Slingers I was a big fan of Cyborg so be interested to see what Albert Pyun does with this one its got a great cast attached Xavier DeClie will replace Van Damme, and original "Cyborg" cast members Vince Klyn and Terrie Batson will make a return also Michael Pare, Sasha Mitchell, Scott Paulin, & Roxy Gunn join the cast.

Expendables 2: Sly brings out the big guns, Van Damme, Chuck Norris Scott Adkins to what will be an explosive sequel unfortunately it’s a PG-13 so probably not much in the way of balls to the wall action, jury is out on this one.

The Grandmasters: War Kai Wei's long awaited film must be up there with JC's Chinese Zodiac as most anticipated and for good reason Tony Leung will play Ip Man in this take on the story of the Wing Chum master.  Rumors appear to indicate it'll get a screening at a festival this year, Cannes anyone?

Windseeker: Felix Chong and Alan Mak direct Tony Leung who plays a blind man who uses hes exceptionally good hearing to finish a mission this is coming Summer 2012.

Drug War: Johnnie To and Wai Ka Fai are teaming up once more to give us a new gangster film, Johnnie To will be directing the script from Wai Ka Fai stars Louis Ko, excited you should.

Odyssey: Stephen Chow returns in the story of the Journey to the West he's producing & Co-Directing with Derek Kwok and you know you're in for a treat with a Stephen Chow movie.  Film is currently in post-production.

Princess and the seven Kung Fu Masters: Sammo Hung and Yuen Wah will star in this Kung Fu tale of a town of seven Kung Fu masters who must fight to save their town.  Sammo Hung and Yuen Wah, Im sold!

Stoker: Park Chan -wook's first English language film a horror/psychological thriller sounds like it might make for interesting viewing with a stella cast attached  Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman and Matthew Goode.

The Raid: Gareth Evans Die Hard meets Assault on Precinct 13 has been doing the rounds and the word is HOT look out for this bone crushing high octane fight fest.
